Pump Installation and Service

Reynolds Well Drilling has over 32 years experience installing and servicing water systems.  James Hamilton, our service manager has the know-how and equipment to install a new system or trouble shoot an existing system and get it right the first time.

Pumps & Lines

Reynolds Well Drilling offers 2 package deals for new pump and line systems:

The first system is our conventional package which features a Goulds all stainless, submersible pump with a 5 year factory warranty;  the remainder of the package consists of a drop pipe & wire in the well,  pressure tank, tank "t" with pressure switch, gage & drain valve, a PumpTec electronic motor protector,  wiring and circuit breaker installed in your panel, in the house.  The water discharge line and wire from the well to your house, including trenching, are installed on a footage basis.

The second (optional) system, a "constant pressure" system is manufactured by Grundfoss.  It features a variable speed submersible pump which is controlled by a small transducer in your water line.  The transducer reads pressure and tells the pump to speed up or slow down as the demand changes.  This system eliminates the pressure variations in the conventional system which is controlled by a pressure switch with upper and lower limits;  usually 30 to 50 or 40 to 60 psi.  It also replaces the large pressure tank and plumbing on your floor with a small (2 gallon) pressure tank plumbed into a pipe and a small control box on the wall where you can change the pressure on your system in 10 psi increments from 50 to 100 psi.  In other words you can flush the stool and step right into the shower without a noticeable drop in water pressure.  This pump is warranted by the factory for 18 months and an extended warranty is available.

Water Treatment

Reynolds offers free water testing for hardness and iron if you are interested in or need to treat your water.  If  water treatment is in your plans, please contact us for our recommendations and costs. We can offer water softeners sized to meet your needs, UV sterilizers for bacteria-free water, and a 5 stage RO unit for final treatment of drinking water at your sink and ice cube maker.  The Reverse Osmosis system eliminates the need for bottled water and is much more convenient.
